Local Hero is the first Russian publicly available hyper-local ads distribution system (localhero.ru). It allows advertisers to have banners published across the millions of Russia's most popular websites in an instant while restricting their exposure to as little as small neighbourhoods, with the minimum radius of only 500 metres (0.3 miles). While conventional online ads can target a city or even a region at most, Local Hero enables focusing on particular districts, neighbourhoods or blocks and thus prevents overpaying for needless exposure on remote territories.
