A podcast dedicated to discussing "what we talk about when we talk about mind." This podcast is a psycholinguistic research project by Boban Dedović, a former graduate researcher at the University of Chicago, Chicago, IL, USA. Each 30-60 minute episode features either a guest who may know one or more languages or a thought leader in linguistics, psychology, or another related specialty. The topic of discussion is focused on what kinds of words, phrases, and constructions people use when referring to mental action: for example, thinking, feeling, brain, heart, mind, thought, idea, etc. The purpose of this podcast was originally to share some of the primary source materials for a revised graduate thesis in the fields of Egyptology and psycholinguistics. He has both a B.A. in Religions of Antiquity and a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Maryland, College Park, where he studied languages like Classical Latin. He earned his master's in the Humanities from the University of Chicago, where he studied Middle Egyptian and Old Babylonian (Akkadian). He has also written about Sumerian and Homeric Greek.
