Queermunity is a community-focused magazine that aims to amplify the voices of the members of the LGBTQIA+ community and their allies. We offer a space for people to express their queer identities in order to inform the world about their experiences, with a focus on social, societal, and economic issues affecting the Queermunity today. We chose Queermunity as our title because we felt that it encompassed what we hope to create. We want to showcase real people and provide a space for you to be authentic to yourself without fear of judgement or shame. We hope that Queermunity can be a reflection of our rich and diverse community and invite everyone to get involved. We do not want to see the word 'queer' as an offensive slur, but something we want to embrace and elevate in society to promote equality and acceptance. A community is a place that feels like home for all its members, and we want our readers to feel safe and support each other. The magazine will be published quarterly online and shared on all popular social media platforms. Each issue will have 30 pages full of thought-provoking articles and columns written by us and you, our beautiful Queermunity! We will have a theme for every issue and will invite different contributors to share their perspectives and opinions.
