Teddy Bear Hospital is a medical student-led project dedicated to reducing childhood anxiety in clinical environments. We also strive to teach primary school kids about other health-related topics including general and dental hygiene and healthy lifestyles.Our team members conceptualize and conduct a number of fun-filled activities at weekly school visits, using a range of exciting mediums to encourage learning in an enjoyable manner. These visits also provide a perfect platform for kids to elicit their concerns regarding hospital visits, so we can address them in a comfortable setting.<Primary School>We have weekly visits to a number of primary schools across Newcastle Upon Tyne. We mainly visit classes in Key Stage 1 (Reception - Year 2). We bring all our own equipment to set up our 'learning stations' which involve:・About the body (basic anatomy with our specialised anatomy bears)・Healthy eating and exercise・Looking after your teeth・Handwashing・Visiting the teddy doctor (children bring their own teddy bears to our special clinic) If you would like us to visit your school, or would like more information, please contact us to arrange this.
