Since 2015, the Bearettes's mission is to serve underrepresented communities and the greater Cal community, as a group of students that demonstrate diversity, inclusion, and empowerment through performance and discipline. We strive to create a space where students from different backgrounds, communities, and cultures can come together to portray Berkeley through a different lens. Thus, The Bearettes aspire to bring spirit to and provide a space for people of color to feel proud and showcase their talents on Berkeley's campus. We will do so by honoring and recognizing the history of dance and majorette dance to minority communities.
