Because of Casey, will will you do? "Casey, are you happy?" Mr. Feldman asked his daughter, one day in July 2009 at their shore house in Sea Isle, New Jersey. Casey replied, "What do you mean, dad—today or in life?" "Both." Casey paused for a few seconds, thinking over the weight of the question, and then smiled as she spoke, "Yes… and yes." If someone were to ask you the same question today, how might you answer? Casey's joy and pure love of life stemmed largely from her relationships with her family and friends and her commitment to affect lives of others around her positively. Casey made volunteer work and giving back to the community a priority in her life. Despite a full course schedule during her years at Fordham University in New York, a news editor role at the campus newspaper The Observer, and various internship positions, Casey consistently made time to volunteer and work to benefit others. She devoted her time to the West End homeless shelter, Momentum Soup Kitchen, and Animal Haven Shelter. Her compassion not only for the less fortunate, but for all people, was always evident in her daily interactions with family and friends. Through preserving Casey's memory, we will continue to be actively inspired by her life, and in turn, act as inspiration to others. One good deed can ignite a chain reaction of positivity in our immediate communities and in the world beyond our reach.
