They have performed all across the Rocky Mountain region for audiences of all ages, including recent appearances at the Utah County Fair, America's Freedom Festival at Provo, The Grand America Hotel, Thanksgiving Point, Homestead Resort, Park City Mountain Resort and Park City TV. Their mellow yet upbeat sound will delight audiences who remember these songs from their youth, as well as introduce the family-friendly music to younger generations. As one client put it, "It was hard not to sing along or move around while listening to The Fab Folk! Highly recommended for any type of event!"The duo began in 2015 when Matt Weidauer and Jake Haws, who had previous played together on other projects, realized they were both huge Beatles fans and when they started playing their songs together, magic happened. The duo's arrangements put their own touch of these classic songs and draw influence from contemporary indie folk artists like Bon Iver, Iron & Wine, The Shins, Wilco and Fleet Foxes.Their recordings include their self-titled EP released in 2015 and a complete song-for-song tribute of the Beatles' Revolver album released in 2016 (in honor of the 50th anniversary).Matt has performed as a solo artist for over a decade. In 2009, he released his debut album of original material, "Birds." Four years later, he channeled his creative energy into a covers album, "Awaiting On You All: A Tribute to George Harrison." He has also performed with the rock groups, Mr. India and Adding Machines and is currently at work on a new album of original material. Matt is such a big Beatles fan he named his daughters Lennon and McCartney.Jake has also been creating music for over a decade, having performed with the rock groups Declaration and Adding Machines and writing music for films. From 2005-2011, Jake also owned and managed Muse Music Cafe, a music venue and recording studio in Provo. In 2012, he recorded 50 original songs over the course of 50 weeks and documented his progress in a blog. He currently produces weekly episodes of the podcast "Making Music with Jake Haws" and continue to record new original songs. Jake has three kids, including a daughter named Penny, after the song "Penny Lane."The Fab Folk are available to perform at festivals and special event occasions such as weddings and corporate events.
