Pastor Bayo Adewole of Jesus House Chicago (JHC) of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) conceived and envisioned a ministry that caters to the underprivileged people in the society. This vision materialized into a food security program that included a soup kitchen, food pantry, homeless, etc. It is important to stress that this vision was borne out of the commandment of our Lord Jesus Christ that we should love our neighbors as ourselves and that in doing so, we should share what we have (including food) with those who do not have. The ministry has since thrived after the mantle of leadership was passed to Pastor Olumide Oluwole.We strongly believe in giving everyone fair treatment irrespective of family relationship, personal relationship, race, creed, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, religion, marital status, political beliefs, mental or physical disability. Our Lord Jesus Christ demonstrated this He was asked to make a pronouncement on a lady who has been accused of adultery by the Pharisees. Also, James 2: 2-4 says "For if a man wearing a gold ring and fine clothing comes into your assembly, and a poor man in shabby clothing also comes in, and if you pay attention to the one who wears the fine clothing and say, "You sit here in a good place," while you say to the poor man, "You stand over there," or, "Sit down at my feet," have you not then made distinctions among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts?". To this end, though we are human, we try our best to treat everyone equally with favoring one over another or discriminating against anyone.
