The Mellow Marsh is a Read and Recycle Initiative. If you have an excess of books that you would like to be loved again, that is our mission. We aim to keep books out of landfills and provide free books for community outreach programs.Through The Mobile Book Drive, we partner with the community, offering to take excess books and filter them through our growing network of not-for-profit organizations and local community groups. We give to schools, teachers, libraries, prisons, and much more! In full transparency, we do sell about 3% of the books collected, but that still leaves us with many hundreds of books to regularly re-home. We arrange a pick-up, and if requested we bring boxes and then do the packing and loading to ensure you an easy and carefree experience. We then take the books back to our processing center and sort by condition and donation requests.There is no charge for our services!If you are interested in learning more about what we do, or get involved, please send us a message! Please feel free to pass along if you know someone who is concerned about what to do with their booksWe do not take Items that are sexually explicit and/or offensive, Non book items such as Calendars and board games, magazines, comic books, books marked as "not for resale," or books that are in poor condition such as water damage and mold, or incomplete book, basically if you can't enjoy reading it due to it's condition we can't re-home it.
