The Peace Project is a student led organization dedicated in creating ventures that empower developing communities around the world.Launched in the Church Center at the United Nations in 2006, The Peace Project has since supported projects in Peru, the Israeli and Palestinian territories, and South Africa. We are working to expand to Thailand, Uganda, and Afghanistan in the next two years.With funding from our online fair trade shop, we create ventures that focus on helping areas access public health and education services along with other resources needed to empower developing communities. We believe in change through collaboration. Our method is to team up with grassroots organizations on the field to learn the best way to approach local problems, while studying current social issues and actively assisting through public service. The aim is to promote equitable behaviors in solving environmental needs while developing projects that allow communities to help themselves.
