Toronto Home Retrofits (THR) is a not-for-profit organization that offers community groups across Toronto the support they need to help their members electrify their homes to reduce emissions. Scaling up from a proven model, this program will partner with community groups to deliver a home retrofit coordination service, providing more homeowners with critical assistance through the home retrofit process. Toronto Home Retrofits aims to significantly accelerate home energy retrofits in communities across the city. Our model builds on the success of the Pocket Change Project, whose retrofit coordination service in Toronto's east end is already demonstrating homeowner demand for retrofits, the value of advice for homeowners and the ability to deliver significant GHG emissions reductions.
