Transform SY is a new accelerator for entrepreneurs that will be delivered by Entrepreneurial Spark with public and private sector partners from the South Yorkshire region. It will increase the critical mass of credible and relatable entrepreneurs, reduce the gap between startups and investors and contribute to the building of a sustainable growth ecosystem. We help founders achieve 4 outcomes:Mindset - we develop entrepreneurial people, not just businesses. That is why coaching the mindset of founders is a vital element of our program.Business - we bring global expertise supporting entrepreneurs in diverse communities, helping them to determine their ideal business model to achieve sustainable growth.Funding - we support founders in becoming fundable and look at both private and public investment opportunities.Community - we will create a legacy by forging a network of entrepreneurs that spans across the whole of South Yorkshire and fuels collaboration and connectedness.Our programme will be delivered virtually to remove any location bias.We will run 3 cohorts, each lasting 6 months and with 20 entrepreneurs (60 in total by June 2023).Our focus is on the whole of South Yorkshire, supporting an equal number of businesses from Sheffield, Barnsley, Doncaster and Rotherham.We are passionate about inclusion and working with entrepreneurs who are traditionally under-represented in the accelerator industry.Enablement - our programmes empower entrepreneurs to find their own solutions instead of trying to "teach" them to be an entrepreneur. This develops long-term skills like resilience and self-motivation that survive past the end of the programme.Transform SY is a collaborative project between public and private bodies and is part of the wider TEAM SY project (part financed by the European Regional Development Fund).
