WesMonTy Resource Conservation and Development Project, inc (WesMonTy RC&D in shorthand) is a 501(c) 3 not-for-profit corporation that operates in 12 counties of North Central West Virginia. These counties are: Barbour, Doddridge, Gilmer, Harrison, Lewis, Marion, Monongalia, Preston, Randolph, Taylor, Tucker and Upshur.Current projects include: capacity building of small-scale producers through the use of season extension materials; restoring mine-scarred land on Barton Bench, Cheat Mountain; Working to develop the capacity of local farmers markets; and working with local producers to increase opportunities for marketing of produce.
