West Point School of Music's mission is to engage urban youth through music instruction and performance; cultivating artistically connected, socially conscious, productive adults. As a community music school, we reduce barriers to music education and performance for underserved BIPOC youth on Chicago's south side by providing free music instructions as well as instruments rebuilding the confidence and sense of pride in our young people, inspiring them to pursue personal excellence, to persevere through challenges, and to achieve their goals.
