Excellence and Inclusion with community at our heart.Making new workaxis has produced over 28 plays in the last 15 years over 18 of which were world premieres. Touring both nationally and internationally, bringing new audiences to Ballymun and Ballymun to the world.Arts development and being a Playground for the artsaxis' arts development work provides access to both participation and development in all areas of the arts to people of all ages and offers artists the opportunity to enhance their practice through mentoring, collaborative and residential opportunities.Creative learningIn the last ten years 70 artists worked in over 300 classrooms with over 5000 children in our arts in education programmesaxis as GaeilgeTá áit speisialta ag an nGaeilge in axis.axis hosts performances from companies like PúcaPuppets, Branar, Fibín and many more as well as performances by musicians, and a range of creative engagement events. axis has also commissioned a number of plays in Irish in partnership with NAYD and Dublin City Council and produced in association with IMRAM a new opera for young audiences ‘Eoghanínn an Éan agus Íosagán' le Colm O' Foghlu.Youth artsaxis has been central to the development of Ballymun as a destination for youth arts. axis leads out innovative programmes around the arts and youth mental health.
