Initial backers include leading Silicon Valley angel investors and Universal Music Group.The company's founders have a background working with leading brands in the youth market, and produced the first-ever and longest-running college music competitions in Campus DJ and College Battle of the Bands, working with over 20 campuses a year and helping to discover top collegiate talent such as: Local Natives (Pepperdine), Mike Posner (Duke), Rozzi Crane (USC) first artist signed by Adam Levine of Maroon 5, Flaxo who is now known as Wingtip (Columbia U), Beyond this Point (Five Towns College) who is now Jon Bellion's band, Bentley Montes (UCLA) x King Tutt (Icon Collective), John King (UGA), Raquel Rodriguez (USC), The Lonely Biscuits (Belmont U) and many more.
