Led by principals Walter Francl, Stefan Aepli, and Brendan Avery, the firm operates as a collaborative studio, drawing on the skills of all firm members in directing a design methodology that involves the client and users in the design process. Our diverse portfolio of projects includes the LEED Platinum Creekside Community Centre, LEED Gold Trout Lake Community Centre and Ice Rink, Vancouver International Airport's Airside Operations Building, and the recently completed Crosstown Elementary School. While knowledgeable about and experienced with sustainable metrics such as Living Building Challenge, LEED, Passive House, and ASHRAE, Francl Architecture Inc. is aligned first and foremost with the core principles behind these systems.
