Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corporation (AECC) is a generation and transmission cooperative headquartered in Little Rock, Arkansas. Founded in 1949, AECC is the wholesale power supplier for Arkansas'​ 17 electric distribution cooperatives. The member cooperatives serve homes, farms and businesses representing approximately 1 million ultimate consumers in Arkansas and surrounding states by providing them with reliable and affordable electricity in a responsible manner. Electric cooperatives are member-owned and democratically controlled businesses. The electric cooperatives in Arkansas have service areas that cover more than 60 percent of Arkansas'​ land mass.
