The Bank was sold to Skye Bank Plc in 2014, and by virtue of the its banking license, the Central Bank of Nigeria approved the divestment of its equity interest in MBCL to a group of investors who are seasoned players that have handled big-ticket capital raising, mergers & acquisitions and fixed income transactions in the capital markets to engender new strategies and expand the Company's business scope.
