Building and Road Research Institute under the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research- (CSIR-BRRI) was established in 1952 under Act 521 of the Parliament of Ghana as one of the 13 Institutes of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) in 1996, with its mandate to carry out research and development and commercialization activities in the construction and road industry. It is one of the 13 Institutes of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research. The Institute is currently located at Fumesua, off Ejisu- Accra road near Kumasi. Over the last years, the institute have carried out numerous assignments in consultancies and research & development and to clients in the private and public sectors in Ghana and abroad.
