But in 1998 an entrepreneur and high-school basketball coach teamed up to confront the danger head on. Tim Flatt saw the danger first hand when he noticed a sharp increase in young athletes using pills to relieve pain. At that time, though, the existing pain relief alternatives were NOT great. They smelled bad, were loaded with harmful chemicals, gave off uncomfortable hot and cold sensations, and (worse) didn't even relieve pain! So, Tim met with his longtime friend and talented business partner, Ron, and they both became convinced that there had to be a better way to relieve pain. They decided that they wanted to do the work that it would take to make a new option available. They pitched their vision to a talented chemist and Tim and Ron Co-Founded Real Time Pain Relief.
