Through a network of certified yoga instructors, Warrior Yoga (WY) provides free yoga to vulnerable and under-resourced communities in an effort to improve mental and physical health outcomes. Warrior Yoga works with existing community organizations, charities, and shelters in order to add yoga and meditation to their range of services. Yoga has been proven to be an effective preventative health measure which can reduce risk and symptoms of chronic pain, inflammation, heart disease, anxiety, depression and more. By making yoga available to all, we believe we can build healthier, more peaceful, and more resilient communities. Furthermore, by reducing financial, social, and geographic barriers we make the healing benefits of yoga and meditation available to those who may benefit from it the most.As an international non-profit, Warrior Yoga offers classes, workshops, retreats, and events to individual students, groups, and workplaces. Classes are easily tailored to the needs, abilities, and interests of attendees. Our students invest in their own mental and physical wellbeing while also investing in the wellbeing of their community.Funds raised help power the Warrior Yoga Karma Project which includes weekly outreach classes for people suffering/recovering from adverse circumstances including but not limited to violence, conflict, abuse, and poverty. In addition, the Warrior Yoga Karma Project has 2 special committees which host healing spaces led for and by LGBTQ2IA+ and BIPOC communities. We also offer scholarships for yoga teacher trainings in an effort to increase representation within the industry.

A New Day Youth and Adult Services provides a 4-bed long-term housing and treatment program for survivors of human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation in Ottawa, Ontario. The program offers a one-of-a-kind, trauma-informed case management model designed to be inclusive of survivor voice while working towards goals that are personalized and oriented towards healing from the inside out. Recognizing that the needs of sex trafficked individuals are unique, survivors are given back the freedom to begin the road of recovery through individualized care plans, services and support, both within the program provided by A New Day Youth and Adult Services and wrap around services with community partners.The long-term housing and treatment program for survivors will incorporate three phases: Relax, Revive, and Reclaim. Each phase was builds on each other, and is designed specifically to help the survivors process through their trauma in a safe and healthy manner. As such, survivors need to be supported within reasonable time frames to receive the treatment and life skills training they need to be successful to move towards the next phase. The length of the stay for the program is approximately 16 -18 months, and each phase may be extended due to the current needs of the survivor.
